The director, Anne Fletcher, has a knack for the way people talk. There are many moments where the characters sound like they have just stepped out of the '60s or listen to a talk radio show. That is the only thing that makes this movie feel old. The rest is fresh and clean. This is not a kid movie. Anne Fletcher has a wonderful eye for detail that shows off the locations in LA.
Recommendation: I saw it on Netflix and I highly recommend it for a date or with family. I would not recommend it for kids. The ending is the big twist. It is cute but it is a shocker. The characters are so nice and you might say I have a soft spot for the elderly. It is a clean romantic comedy. It is about how people think they are so busy and so important when they are just getting by. The story is well done and some of the dialogue is a gem. It's a really good movie.
